In Bangladesh, patients with rheumatism and paralysis are not treated properly. Due to this the number of unemployed people is constantly increasing. Appropriate physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation is required to cure and prevent the disease to overcome this condition. Long-term illnesses, especially arthritis and paralysis, cannot be cured with medication. This requires physiotherapy treatment. Now let's find out who needs physiotherapy treatment.
Those who have problems with the nervous system
Many suffer from paralysis due to complications of the nervous system due to stroke, injury or surgery. The body of such a patient becomes numb or the muscles become stiff. Increasing the body performance of these patients and keeping the joints active becomes challenging. There is no substitute for physiotherapy to enable them to manage their daily activities.
Those who have muscle and bone problems
After a broken bone is attached, it takes time for the muscles and bones of the injured part to function properly. People with such problems need physiotherapy. In addition, various types of arthritis such as spondylitis, spondylosis, spondylolisthesis; In other words, those who are suffering from neck, waist and spinal pain, they also need this treatment. In addition, people with arthritis, knee pain, frozen shoulder and ankle problems need physiotherapy.
For burn patients
In patients with burns, there is a risk of permanent paralysis due to prolonged muscle contraction. Physiotherapy is needed to get rid of this risk.
In the case of pediatrics
Children born with paralysis or cerebral palsy and spinal problems need physiotherapy. Apart from this, there is no alternative to this treatment to correct the neck, arms and legs of children.
Heart disease and lung problems
Patients with chest congestion, shortness of breath, pneumonia need this treatment. In addition, physiotherapy is given to maintain the patient's oxygen capacity before and after heart surgery. Intensive care unit (ICU) patients also require physiotherapy.
In surgery
Normal use of muscles and joints is usually disrupted before and after surgery. Therefore, physiotherapy is required to enable the patient to move properly.
Geriatric problems
Older people lose the ability to walk due to pain and muscle wasting in different parts of the body in old age. There is no substitute for physiotherapy to maintain the normal mobility of these people.
Lame rehabilitation
A person who has lost limbs due to an accident needs prostheses. Physiotherapy is the only rehabilitation method to normalize the movement of these people.
